Google Analytics collects:

Scope: DRIVE_FILE (app-created files only, we can't see your other Drive files)
Encryption: AES-256-GCM before upload
Control: Disable anytime, delete backups from your Drive
We never access your backup contents
Optional - only when you tap microphone:
• Voice audio sent to Google Speech Recognition
• Transcribed text returned to app
• Audio processed transiently (not permanently stored)
User Control: Only activates when you tap the microphone button in journal
Data Sent: Raw audio recording of your voice
Google's Use: May be used to improve speech recognition services
Fallback: If speech recognition unavailable, manual typing always works
Alternative: Type manually instead

System-level feature (Google controls):
Your Android OS may automatically back up app data to your Google account if enabled in device settings.
What's included: App settings, alarms, sound preferences, journal entries
What's excluded (for security): Journal passwords, backup encryption keys
Disable: Settings > System > Backup
Note: We've configured the app to exclude sensitive data from automatic backups
Optional feature - only if you enable:
• Select custom background images from your device
• Only the selected image URI is stored locally
• No photo library scanning
• Images never uploaded or transmitted
Permission: READ_MEDIA_IMAGES (Android 13+) or READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12 and below)
Your Control: Use predefined backgrounds instead
Alternative: Choose from built-in background images
We absolutely do NOT collect:

AdMob Data: Per Google's retention policy (we don't control)
Delete Local Data:
Settings > Apps > Restful Sounds > Storage > Clear Data
You can:
✅ Delete all local data (clear app data/uninstall)
✅ Delete Drive backups:
1. Open Google Drive app or drive.google.com
2. Navigate to "My Drive"
3. Look for files ending in ".RestfulBackup"
4. Delete files and empty trash
✅ Revoke Drive access: myaccount.google.com/permissions
✅ Reset Advertising ID (Settings > Google > Ads)
✅ Opt-out of personalized ads (device settings)
You cannot:

• PERSIST_URI_PERMISSIONS - Remember your custom sound/image selections
Implicit (added by AdMob):
• INTERNET - Load ads
• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE - Check connectivity
• ACCESS_WIFI_STATE - Network connectivity for ads
Age Restriction: Not directed at children under 13
COPPA Compliance: We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Parents: If your child uses this app, be aware:
• AdMob collects advertising IDs from all users

• Supervise voice input use
